Google gets more job searches each month. Recent surveys show that job seekers begin their job search on Google before searching on different websites.

Job search engines such as Indeed, Simplyhired, are getting even more popular than job boards such as Monster, Careerbuilder (US and international job boards), Infojobs, Infoempleo (Spanish job boards), Cadremploi, Cadrexport (French job boards), etc. These 2 job search engines are the most visited sites by job seekers this year because they offer top results in over 60% of all job searches performed. The reason why Indeed and Simplyhired are becoming so popular is because they include job listing from lots of different sources: job boards, recruitment agency sites, blogs, association sites, niche sites, etc.

Although job boards still have higher brand recognition than job search engines, this might just change in the next 2 years.

But one question remains: will job boards disappear?
